“Why do we pray? We pray because we realize  we need help. We pray because we realize we need the God of the universe to do what we cannot do.”  ~ David Platt

God has given us the beautiful opportunity to come before Him in prayer.  Prayer is real and personal communication with our Father in which we offer Him praises and submit ourselves to His will.  It is the open admission that apart from Christ, we can do nothing.

Prayer is not only a privilege and a means by which our joy in Christ increases, but prayer is also a command (1 Thessalonians 5:17).  We want to be a body of prayerful believers, entrusting our lives to Him, admitting that we are unable to accomplish anything without Him, and asking for His supernatural help to walk in a way that brings honor and glory to His name on this earth.

As we read through the Bible of the early church, we can see clearly the power that prayer had on the multiplication of the church. Prayer is just as powerful today.  Even in our own lives, there are ways we all recognize how prayer has worked wonders in the hearts and lives of those we know.  Yes, we can pray alone, but there is great power and encouragement in corporate prayer that builds unity in the body of Christ!  Let us join together and pray, trusting that the Lord will hear us and work through our church to have an impact on the world around us.

As a continuation of what was started in October, we are excited to offer two opportunities in which the church family can gather together with one intent: prayer. Our desire for this time is to lift up prayers together for our community, our church, the lost, and for God’s will to be done.

Every Sunday Morning - 8:00 a.m.

Join us for small group prayer before Bible study on Sunday mornings.  We meet in the gym building room 1.  During this time we pray for one another, needs in the church family need in our community, missionaries, and more!

Second & Fourth Sunday Afternoons - 4:00 p.m.

Join us on the second and fourth Sundays of each month for an additional prayer gathering in the Sanctuary.  This time will include Scripture readings, prayers from Scriptures, and prayers for needs in our church, community, nation, and the world.  This is a "come and go" prayer time.
