As we study God's Word, we continue to see the amazing depths of who God is and what He has done for us.  "Systematic Theology" seeks to put together key themes from Scripture in a way to help us better understand them.  Grudem organizes theology (the study of God) into 7 big topics:  The Word of God, God, Man, Christ and the Holy Spirit, Redemption, the Church, and the Future.  Each topic has multiple chapters. 

Though it is a large book (more than 1200 pages!), each chapter features a different topic, making it easy to study any topic.  Each chapter is easy to read and also features questions to consider, a Scripture passage to meditate on, and a hymn to sing.
