Gateway values prayer. Believers are called to worship the Lord, abide (remain) in Him, experience His presence, and depend on Him. Such is impossible on our own. Jesus says in John 15:5, "apart from me you can do nothing." Thankfully, God does not leave us alone, but invites us into His presence, as Hebrews 4:16 reminds us when it says, "Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRAYER
- Corporate Prayer Time ~ Sundays, 8:00 a.m.
Come an hour early on Sunday morning for a time of prayer for one another, the church, and our community. We meet in the gym building, Room 1.
- Still Waters ~ Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Come by the sanctuary at Gateway during your lunch break on Thursdays for quiet prayer. Praise music will be playing in the background while Scriptures are shown on the screen. Take a break from the business of your week to come be still before the Lord and focus on Him. Click here to learn more.
- Small Group Prayer
All of our Life Groups are built around three priorities: Scripture, Prayer, and Fellowship. Join a Life Group to be part of a community where you regularly pray for one another in the weekly gatherings.
- Prayer Praise and Testimony (and coffee, too!)
Several times during the year, we pause some of our regular Sunday or Wednesday evening activities to come together for focused times of praising God and praying together.
