Gateway values prayer. Believers are called to worship the Lord, abide (remain) in Him, experience His presence, and depend on Him. Such is impossible on our own. Jesus says in John 15:5, "apart from me you can do nothing." Thankfully, God does not leave us alone, but invites us into His presence, as Hebrews 4:16 reminds us when it says, "Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." That is why we take time in each of our worship services to pray for our church family, our city, and the nations, including praying for a different unreached people group each week.
ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRAYER
- Small Group Prayer
All of our Bible Study groups and Life Groups are built around three priorities: Scripture, Prayer, and Fellowship. Join a small group to be part of a community where you regularly pray for one another in the weekly gatherings.
- 1st Wednesday Prayer Gatherings
On the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m., we pause our regular men's small group, women's small group, and youth Bible study, to all join together in the sanctuary for an evening of praise and prayer together. Join us as we have guided prayer times to pray for our city, nation, church, missionaries, unreached peoples, one another, and much more! While the youth and adults meet together, childcare for birth to 6th grade is provided in a special 1st Wednesday Kids Club.
