Gateway's Student Ministry is designed to engage students in grades 7-12 with the life changing message of the Gospel. Through Bible studies, community groups (Life Groups for teenagers), service projects, trips, and fellowships, the youth of Gateway are given opportunities to grow in having a dynamic relationship with Jesus and to be equipped to make a difference with their lives wherever they are.
CJ Falcione, our associate pastor, is joined by a team of adults from Gateway who love students and invest in their lives. Through community with these adults leaders and with one another, the youth of Gateway are challenged to grow in their knowledge of God and to glorify God with their lives.
Sunday Bible Study ~ 9 a.m.
In person gathering resumes on October 18!
On Sunday mornings, Gateway's youth have a Bible study time together in the youth rooms. This fall they are doing a verse by verse study of Psalm 23 to learn about the beautiful relationship we have with Jesus as our shepherd. There will be a time of fellowship with breakfast goodies at the beginning, and small groups for discussion will follow the teaching time.
Wednesday Evenings ~ 6 p.m.
On Wednesday evenings, our youth come back together for an evening of Bible study, fellowship, and food. This fall they will do a topical study of "How To Understand the Bible". This study will answer questions like, "What do we believe about the Bible?", 'Why is it important to know how to interpret the Bible?", and "How do we understand the genres of scripture such as historical narratives, the Psalms, Proverbs, Prophecy, Parables and the Epistles?"
Community Groups ~ During the week
Small discipleship groups are available during the week. During these times, the youth meet with a leader who helps them think about how to live out the Scriptural truths they are learning and how to walk with God.
