James 4:7 commands us to submit to God, and 1 Peters instructs us to humble ourselves under His mighty hand.  During our upcoming D-Now weekend on February 15 - 17, our students in grades 7-12 will be challenged with teaching about the “power of surrender.”  We will see that as we surrender our lives to God and live according to His plan, God is glorified and we receive the blessing of walking with Him.  Please pray for our students and leaders during D-Now, specifically that we willingly will let go of our sin and selfishness that keeps us from being surrendered to Christ.

We will join with other churches doing D-Now this same weekend for city-wide worship services on both Friday and Saturday nights.  On Saturday, we will serve at the new Flatline Church plant in Chisholm (led by Dewayne Rembert who has preached at Gateway twice this past year) to help to prepare the facilities and grounds for their upcoming launch of this new church.  Our small group leaders will be Joseph Falcione, Laura Glass, Alex Smith, and Ashton Smith.
