Gateway Family,

Join us this Sunday, September 20, at 10:30 a.m. in person or via live stream.  This Sunday we are excited to be able to celebrate communion (The Lord's Supper) together!

In our service, we will study James 4:8-10, which is a challenging text on how we view our sin and how we should respond to it.  It is a great text to consider before celebrating communion together.  We want to encourage you to go ahead and read these verses and be thinking on them and praying on them before we gather.

Because of coronavirus, our celebration of communion will look different than before.
These changes are being made to minimize contact and reduce the potential spread of germs.  We want you to know what to expect so you can be prepared...

FOR THOSE IN THE SANCTUARY:
communion-cups.jpgWe are providing complete pre-filled & sealed communion cups.  You will peal back the top seal to find the bread.  You will peal back the second seal to get the juice.  These communion elements will be available on the "shelf" under the seat in front of you.  You will see it there when you sit down.  Additional elements are available if needed in front of the baptistry on the right side of the room, and by the sound booth on the left side.  In addition, gluten free bread is available for those with dietary needs at both of those locations.

FOR THOSE IN THE GYM:
The same pre-filled & sealed communion cups will be available in a tray at the back of the gym as you enter.  Please pick up one as you enter the room before the service begins.  Gluten-free wafers will be available in a special container there as well.

FOR THOSE WORSHIPING FROM HOME:
Please prepare ahead of time the elements (bread and juice or wine) so you can celebrate with us at the end of the service.

As we close the service, we are introducing a new song that is so fitting for reflecting on communion and on our text from James.  It is "We Hunger and Thirst."  Click here to preview it to help you learn it for Sunday!   Here is what else we are singing together ....
