On Wednesday, August 3, beginning at 5:30 pm we are going to serve Capitol Heights Middle School (CHMS) by cleaning up the school campus in preparation for the students' return to school. Please come join us!
This is the fifth year we’ve served CHMS in this way, and it always is a wonderful time of fellowship and demonstrating the love of Christ to our community. This simple act of service also helps us build relationship with the school administration and staff while we meet practical needs at the school.
We are going to pray over the campus, put out new pine straw, pick up litter, trim bushes and trees, weed eat, and more. It should be a great time of prayer and fellowship with the school administration and with one another. Bring Scriptures to pray over the school, work gloves, and any lawn/garden tools that may be helpful.
Please come even if you are not able to do physical labor; prayer and relationship building is just as (if not more!) important than the physical acts of service we will be doing. Also, bring your children with you. The whole family can be involved together in serving the community here!
Chick-fil-A sandwiches for dinner will be provided when you arrive!
