Men, you are invited to join us for a day of fellowship and adventure as we explore the John B. Scott Forever Wild Trail near Martin Dam in Elmore County. There is no cost, but advance registration is required (see below).
THE HIKE:
We will hike a scenic loop trail that is about 4.5 miles long and is rated moderate with some uphill climbs. It passes through forested areas and follows several streams, with the last section along the shores of Yates Lake and the Tallapoosa River just below Martin Dam.
We will hike to a scenic, rocky overlook area about 1.5 miles in. There, we will stop for a lunch break and a devotional time. Then we will continue the
hike downhill through the forest and ending with a riverside walk before completing the loop back at the trailhead.
Learn more about the hike on All Trails or the Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail Association.
