Gateway's youth are invited to a day of fun, fellowship, and thrill rides at Six Flags Over Georgia on Saturday, October 5!

Advanced registration is required, see below for details!

Why go to Six Flags?

For many years Gateway’s youth group has taken trips to Six Flags.  However, at a recent leadership team meeting we found ourselves asking, “Why?” The easy answer is, “It’s fun!”  But if our call is to raise disciples and impact this generation and the world for Christ, how does a trip to Six Flags able to accomplish this?

Spending time together as a group is the goal for this trip.  We want to spend quality time asking and answering questions, getting to know one another better, sharing favorite music and games on the ride, and simply sharing life and building trust along the way.  We also want to develop more small group connections. Spending a day in a small group, considering each other’s interests and needs, waiting in cars and ride lines, and facing fears together can all build a spirit of unity and camaraderie that will endure long after the fun has faded.

While we recognize many families are busy this fall, we hope those who can attend will come expecting to connect, engage, and care for one another.
