SATURDAY, JUNE 14
Fellowship Dinner:  5:00 PM
Night of Praise:  7:00 PM

One of the joys we get to partake in on Sunday mornings in coming together as the body of Christ is singing together, lifting our voices in praise To God.  Here at Gateway, in recent years we have begun to set aside additional times other than our normal Sunday gatherings to come together for nights of praise to sing together.  Last year we had an evening where we focused on the Psalms, particularly singing songs taken straight from passages from the book of Psalms.  On June 14, we will come together again for our next praise night, this time focusing on singing hymns.

For many of us, hymns were a common part of our church services growing up and have stood the test of time, where as many of contemporary songs tend to fall to the wayside when they loose their popularity or their sound becomes outdated.  So what makes hymns last through the generations?  Part of it is the simple meter found in most poems, making them easy to follow.  In addition, in their lyrics we find so much rich theological truth.

We hope you will plan to join us on Saturday, June 14, at 7:00 p.m., as we come together to sing some of these hymns we know and love, and some rich ones that may be new to you as well!

Come early at 5:00 p.m. for a barbecue dinnerClick here to learn more or register for the dinner.
