Celebrating a New Year in Gateway Kids Ministry

On Sunday, August 10, we are scooping up something extra sweet....  It is not just Promotion Sunday, it is Promotion SundAE!  In addition to the special opportunity that morning, there also is a Family Nerf Battle that afternoon (click here to learn more about it!)

That’s right - We are starting off a day of celebration with delicious ice cream sundaes for all our Gateway Kids, toddlers through 5th grade, as they move up to their new classes and rooms.  Kids will get to enjoy a fun treat in their Bible Study class as we celebrate together.

As we mark this new beginning, we’re also celebrating something incredible—our Gateway Kids have now completed a full three-year journey through the entire Bible using The Gospel Project for Kids!  That means on August 10, we have the opportunity to start fresh at the very beginning with Genesis 1. We are so excited to start our new cycle on Promotion Sunday!

SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY CLASSES

Here is a quick look at where your child will be on Sundays for Bible Study time (9:00 -10:15) in this new school year and who their primary teacher will be:

• Babies – Joy Coon and Jessica Paulk
• Toddlers – TBD
• 3’s – Carrie Davis
• Pre-K – Sarah Mooney
• Kindergarten – Hillary Bray
• 1st & 2nd Grade – Shin & Alycia Jeong and Valerie Seefield
• 3rd & 4th Grade – Lori Smart
• 5th & 6th Grade – TBD

WORSHIP SERVICE DETAILS FOR 1st - 6th GRADES

• At 10:15 a.m., all 1st to 6th graders will be picked up from their Bible study classrooms by their parent and brought into the main service to worship with the congregation.
• After the intercessory prayer time, and just before the sermon, 1st to 4th graders are welcome to attend Kids Worship.
• Newly promoted 5th graders will remain in the main service with their parents the entire time.  We are so excited to see them take this next step!
• Pick-up for Kids Worship (1st to 4th grades) will be in the gymnasium immediately after the service.

SUPPORTING THE TEACHERS

Our teachers are a vital part of Gateway's mission to disciple the next generation - and they need your support! We invite every parent to:

• Pray regularly for your child’s teacher
• Ask how you can support them - Could you step in as a substitute, help with a special event, or bring supplies or snacks? 
• Encourage them with a note, a coffee, or simply your presence

We want every teacher to know they are deeply loved and connected—not serving alone, but thriving as part of the Gateway family.
