As 2020 begins, we are excited to have various Wednesday evening small groups available for you! These groups are a great opportunity to grow in community and grow in God's Word! Would you consider joining one this year? In addition to the groups for adults listed below, Kids Club and Student Bible Study happen at the same time, so there is something for everyone in your family on Wednesday evenings at Gateway!
Men's Group / Romans For You
Men, join us as we continue to study the book of Romans, focusing now on chapters 8-16. Even if you have not been in our previous Romans study, it is not too late to join! Romans 8-16 helps us understand what it means to really believe and live out the gospel, and what living as men of God looks like. We will base our discussion on the book Romans 8-16 for You by Tim Keller. In addition, we will periodically pause our study to go eat dinner together as we build community with one another and encourage one another to pursue Christ more.
This group will be led by Ira Hostetter and Grady Smith.
Women's Group 1 / Better, A Study of Hebrews
Ladies, we would love to have you join us as we begin a journey through the amazing book of Hebrews! With the help of Jen Wilkin's book, Better, we will see more clearly how God gave us something truly “better” in the person of Jesus Christ. If you have desired to better understand the ultimate significance of Old Testament characters and practices, as well as how Jesus fulfills every promise from the Old Testament, this study will be a blessing for your knowledge and worship of God and His gospel!
This group will be led by Trish Butterfield.
Women's Group 2 / Discerning the Voice of God
Ladies, if you desire to better commune with God and walk in deeper obedience to Him, join us as we study through Priscilla Shirer's book, Discerning the Voice of God. This study will challenge you in the discipline of daily Bible study and help you gain practical wisdom for knowing and understanding God's voice through His Word. We will see how how humble obedience is the foundation of clear and daily communication with God.
This group will be led by Karen Fowler.
Community Life Group
Gateway provides Life Groups that meet in the community at different times during the week. One of the groups is available on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Life Groups provide a great opportunity to discuss how we apply the truth we heard in Sunday's sermon, and give you an opportunity to grow deeper in community as you have time each week to fellowship and pray together.
This group meets at the home of Henry & Alice Williams (about 3 minutes from Gateway).
It is led by William Foxx and Henry Williams.
